Educational Service Unit 5 serves the educational, social and emotional needs of students, teachers, parents and administrators in the Southeast corner of Nebraska. In the 2021-22 school year, ESU 5 served approximately 5,500 students and 500 teachers from the ten preK-12 public schools within our service area. The 53 staff members employed by ESU 5 work diligently to serve the needs of Gage, Jefferson and Thayer counties which cover approximately 3,000 square miles. Student demographic and academic data is shared later in this document.
